I still can't believe it, guys. I've been glued to my seat since 11:00 PM yesterday, with my heart racing a thousand miles per hour, and now it's past midnight and I still can't sleep. SPAIN IS WORLD CHAMPION. It sounds crazy to say it out loud, but it's real. 2026, and we have the Cup at home. 🇪🇸🏆
I know many of us spent the whole day with that weird feeling of "what if the worst happens", thinking about Argentina's bad luck, the Messi factor (even though he's no longer there), the refereeing... Because watch out, that disallowed goal to Nico Williams in the first half was outrageous. The guy controls it, crosses it... and the linesman raises the flag. The replays showed nothing clear. Argentina has been playing with 12 all tournament, and yesterday it showed. But Spain is far superior and proved it on the pitch.
Ferran Torres' goal was a work of art. Controlled touch, one-two with Nico, and that left-footed cross shot that kissed the post before going in. How handsome you are, damn.
And then there's Rodri. RODRI. The guy was a wall in midfield, he didn't lose a ball, cut off all of Argentina's counterattacks, and he always played the ball out. For me, undisputed World Cup MVP. Ask De Paul, who ended up dizzy from running after him.

Now for the big debate, and I want to read your opinions:
1️⃣ Was Nico's disallowed goal an offensive foul or a simple refereeing error? I think it was a completely legal play, but I need you to tell me if you see something I didn't.
2️⃣ Rodri or Lamine Yamal as best player of the tournament? Lamine has had a crazy World Cup (two goals, three assists), but Rodri has been the fucking boss in every match.
3️⃣ Can we now say that this generation is the best in Spain's history? 2008-2012 was a golden era, but winning a World Cup 14 years later with a different style and another generation... that's very commendable.
🇪🇸 DATASO: Spain finished the tournament with 18 goals for and only 4 against. No team has had a better goal difference (+14) in a World Cup since Brazil 2002. This is not luck, it's that we were far superior to everyone, match after match.
I experienced it with my buddies at the usual bar, hugging strangers, crying like kids and singing "¡Yo soy español, español, español!" until we lost our voices. Today is no longer just today. This is forever, guys.
